- The healthiest herb garden I've ever had (amazing what happens when I remember to water it!)
- Gathering herbs for dinner in my beautiful thrifted 'garden produce' basket
- Adding freshly picked mint to our breakfast - love any reason to be outside early in the morning (and to grab few minutes on my own before the day starts)
What was for breakfast? Is it a smoothie?
ReplyDeleteBreakfast was rolled rice cooked in coconut milk, then added all the fruit and herbs and nuts.
DeleteOur garden has been much more successful this year thanks to a little bit of love! It's getting hot up here but if I get up early enough it's still nice enough to go for a walk.
ReplyDeleteLoves, Jess
I'm finding that love is just what a garden needs - oh and water!!
DeleteGreat photos! I'm down to just a few tired looking Basil plants and a lonely corianter in our herb garden right now... I think I need your help! ;-) grace
ReplyDeleteChook poo is what seems to have helped mine, it's amazing how well it has done since I added that. I'll bring some next time. That adds a new dimension to your gift giving post last week though doesn't it!!!
DeleteOur herb garden has been doing quite well too. We are (sadly) gearing up for our Fall/Winter season, so I spent some time this weekend drying the last of some of the herbs and freezing pesto.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the move to winter is sad. I am working on a whole change in pass and focus for that part of the year so we can enjoy what we have at the time (but I still find it hard). Pesto is something I've only tried to freeze once and it didn't seem to go so well. Perhaps I just need more practice as a bit of pesto pasta in the winter months is lovely. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.
