I have always wanted to go to a pick your own farm and gather as much fruit as I can and go home and make jam, sauce, ice-cream, preserved fruit - anything I could. Well this week, we went to a pick your own strawberry farm.
I discovered that it is more about the joy of picking and an outing for the family than getting a heap of cheap fruit!!
Apparently the farm has realised it is a great tourist attraction and it isn't that cheap. So we picked fruit, ate strawberries and had lots of fun playing but didn't gather enough fruit to keep us in strawberries for the year.
I've been waiting all week to see some photos!!! The fruit looks so fresh and yummy even if it wasn't all that cheap. What a lovely day for a play too. See you next week.
